Sound Sewing in Silverdale, Washington was opened in the summer of 1987.   In 1995 Charlene came to work for Sound Sewing doing Sales and Education.  By 1998 Charlene was made manager, and took on many more responsibilities.  In 2000 the owner of the store was ready to retire and wanted to sell.  Charlene (who was still in college) realized that sewing machine sales, education, and repairs was what she enjoyed.  So together with her parent (Mike and Christina who had a quilting store at the time) purchased Sound Sewing.   
Charlene, Mike, and Christina kept the same polices, and added there own personal touches to the business. 2002 they started doing the Sewing with the Stars retreats (then known as the Jenny Haskins School).  The retreats have been so popular they now hold two retreats a year.  By 2007 they expanded to Lacey with the PFAFF Creative Sewing Center.  Bring Pfaff back to the South Sound. 
In 2014 they decided to bring in Husqvarna Viking sewing line in to there store.  And in the last couple of years they have added Dealer Only Singer Machines. And in 2020 started a YouTube channel to support our customers during the shut down. Now Charlene has a filming studio to keep filming.
What sets them apart from other dealers is with the purchase of any machine, you get FREE unlimited Private Machine User Classes for as long as you own the machine.  They teach and support the current embroidery machine software since 1997 with private lesson** and Clubs.  Each store also has an onsite repair shop in both our locations.  They do NOT send your machines out for service.
